No other domestic automobile builder can duplicate the long and
glorious trail blazed by Oldsmobile. It spans the curious hand-built wooden carriage which
chugged to life in 1897 to the last 2004 Alero that left the
Lansing, Michigan plant on April 29, 2004. In keeping with this long heritage no other club can offer the broad coverage of
the Oldsmobile Club of America, Inc. We cover each of the Olds models built and anyone
interested in this fine automotive nameplate can join.

If you want to haggle over your brass, chrome or real steel in
person, then it's the OCA National Meet for you. Each year a caravan of vendors truck in
those hard-to-find items from the backwoods barns and out-of-the-way dealer shelves. The
national meet revolves around the country so everybody gets a chance. This same spirit of
automotive enterprise comes out of many times each year at local, regional and chapter OCA
functions.
OCA National
Meet:
Many regions have hosted the OCA Nationals since the first one in
1972. We've been to Ohio, Wisconsin, Minnesota, California, New Jersey and back to factory
in Lansing to help GM mark the 75th and 90th anniversary of its Oldsmobile Division. It
brings a time to shine up the Olds for the big car show and search for that elusive
N.O.S.
bauble at the swap meet. There are speeches, awards, seminars, dinners and banquets. The
real bonus benefits are the Oldsmobiles seen, new friends found and a firm vow to do it
all over again next year.
Meet OCA at a Local "OCA Road Show"!
So, just what is the Road Show ?
Well it's OCA Members hanging out at swap meets and car shows and sharing information
about our club with other people interested in Oldsmobiles. For many years we have had a
Welcome Tent or Booth at events like Carlisle and Hershey. Just a place to rest tired swap
meet feet or grab a cold drink and engage in the time honored past
time of bench racing.
The Road Show can be YOU !!
That's right. There are many large swap meets and other events around the country where
Oldsmobiles show up. Often these cars are owned by people who had no idea that OCA exists.
This is where the Road Show comes in. Local chapters or other groups of volunteers are
encouraged to set up an OCA information booth at major events. OCA will provide banners,
sample newsletters and subsidize the cost of renting the display space.
